Welcome to "Medicine on Air", the podcast of Aesculap Academia. In this episode we will focus on the topic of Medicine of the Future. Without a doubt COVID has certainly accelerated innovation and healthcare technology. In this podcast Miss Deena Harji and Mr Ryan Kerstein discuss the drivers of innovation in healthcare in the UK and address why has COVID had such a significant impact on this. They talk about the need to improve patient centred and clinical outcomes, which are the drivers of innovation. They reveal that by helping patients understand what is causing their chronic conditions, they can be actively managed. Deena and Ryan speak openly about the importance of conducting honest discussions and open collaborations to help us to move forward and succeed in maintaining patient’s health and how technology can help to reduce the burn out of our healthcare professionals.
